Three-day warrant sweep results in over 100 arrests

More than 100 people with active warrants in the state were arrested over a three-day period in March as part of an anti-DWI warrant sweep by New Mexico State Police and other law enforcement, officials announced Wednesday.

Of those arrested between March 28 and March 30 in Sandoval, Santa Fe, San Juan, Chaves, Mora, and Doña Ana counties, at least 56 had warrants for failing to show up for court dates on a driving while intoxicated charge, State Police Chief Pete Kassetas said at a news conference with Gov. Susana Martinez on Wednesday.
